Best Date Night in the Quiet Corner | Woodstock, CT Photographer
Having regular date nights may be the key to happiness in your relationship, and the perfect night out is completely different from person to person. Here’s just a few suggestions if you’re a local to the Putnam, CT (aka Quiet Corner) area.
Fancy Dinner
Sometimes your just want to wear nice clothes and pretend you’re classy. I get it. These places have top-notch food and ambiance. Visit Elizabeth’s Farmhouse, Grill 37, Anya, 85 Main, Mansion at Bald Hill or The Inn at Woodstock Hill.
The Appetizer
More often than not, you can find us at what we declare a “regular” restaurant. You know, those show -up-as-you-are places where make friends with the people next to you at the bar. We split some nachos or get chicken wings…or both if we are feeling a little wild and crazy. Try visiting The Courthouse, Sherwoods, Firebrands, Quarterback Club and Railside Tavern.
Put on your dancing shoes
Maybe you just want to boogie with your food. Have a bite to eat and stay to dance the night away. Look for all types of local music at The Stomping Ground, Black Dog and The Crossings.
Coffee and a Treat
Grab a coffee and a treat and take the back roads. Hubby and I like to try and get lost every now and then, wandering the back roads to no where. You can turn the music up and have a car-karoke contest or just take the chance to hold hands and catch up. Stop at Soleil and Suns, Victoria Station or Nolles for the best treats around.
I scream for Ice Cream
There is no shortage of summer time road side places to grab a bite, but you could just skip and go right to the dessert. Deary Brothers, Riverview, Buck’s Soft-serve, Farm to Table Market, Sweet Evalina’s all should be on your summer bucket list.
