Letter-boxing at Logees

You ever bring your kids to the park, only to find that it’s still completely covered in snow? What do you do then?

We decided to visit Logee’s Greenhouse in Danielson, CT. It’s a magical place that I’ve visited my whole life, and a great place to get a bit of warmth while taking an indoor nature walk.  The 120 year old greenhouse houses full grown, fruit-bearing trees and beautiful plants that you’d only find in the tropics.

Logee’s has done some recent updates including a cute little boutique, and, to our surprise, Letter-boxing. They’ve set it up so you have to follow clues and directions through the dirt paths, pointing out some of the plants along the way.

This was PERFECT for my 6 year old son, who loves an adventure! My 3 year old friend wasn’t so fond of the details, just in finding the fairy gardens where the stamps were hidden.

Bonus: If you find all the stamps, you get a coupon for $5 off your purchase!

Nicole Bushey creates thoughtful portraits for the bold (and slightly strange) families of the Providence-Worcester Area, based in Putnam, CT.
